How much is Hair Transplantation?

You’ve done everything you could have to maintain the health of your hair and yet, each and every year you grow more and more frustrated, when you should be growing hair. You’ve tried dietary supplements, topical lotions, light-based treatments, and even prescription medications. Although they have helped to a certain extent, their benefits have still been limited.

When it comes to Hair Transplantation, there are several factors that need to be considered in order to give a proper cost estimate. These factors include:

  • the extent of hair loss

  • the density of the donor hair region

  • your desired results

Because these factors vary from person to person, it is not possible to give an accurate estimate online or over the phone. For this reason, we highly recommend an in-office consultation visit, so that Dr. Garcia can thoroughly examine your regions of hair loss and the quality of the hair in your donor region. His examination in addition to any pertient medical history will enable him to determine if you are an ideal candidate and what type of outcome is to be expected. All these variables will allow him to provide you with a cost estimate and payment options.

IS THIS COVERED BY INSURANCE?

Hair restoration procedures (PRP and Hair Transplantation) are considered cosmetic procedures and are thus, not covered by insurance. However, the initial consultation visit for hair loss (alopecia), as well as any recommended labs, can be billed to your insurance. If we do not participate with your particular insurance, or you do not have medical insurance, the the consultation fee is $135 (reimbursed to you if you decide on undergoing either PRP or NeoGraft FUE treatment).
